Our personal training studio was designed with the specific needs of our clients in mind.  Before we made the decision to open our own studio, we ASKED OUR CLIENTS what was important to them!  Here’s what they said:
 
They wanted to be strong and enjoy the benefits of a healthy lifestyle.  They realized that the money they were investing in their personal training programs would reap huge dividends by making them healthier and less likely to incur much more costly medical bills and by improving their overall quality of life.

Our clients wanted a safe, clean, and unintimidating environment.  They value the fact that their fitness trainers and instructors care about them and respect them.  Just as importantly, it is important to them that their trainers are knowledgeable, patient, and experienced.

We offer one-on-one training sessions that last either 30, 45, or 60 minutes, depending on your needs. We can get together as many times a week as you need (we usually suggest 2-3 times per week to get started). In addition to private training, we also have some small groups and classes that are supervised while the participants exercise (mostly) independently. We can talk about what fits best for you.

We firmly believe that our first responsibility as your personal trainer is to be a good listener...to understand what you are going through both physically and mentally. Our second role as your trainer is that of a teacher...so you'll learn which muscles we're emphasizing, how form and technique play a role, and we'll try to tie it in to what you've already learned. We are also going to be your biggest cheerleaders (our third role is that of motivator!) as you overcome physical challenges and learn a new way to think about exercise!

 Our Philosophy
Our gym is NOT a traditional gym...which is one reason it just might be a perfect match for you.  If you want to know more about our history, we can tell you about it when we meet, but the short story is that our goal in creating The Training Zone was to create an atmosphere in which our personal training clients would feel comfortable and enjoy their workout experience. Have you ever seen the show Cheers?  We're kind of like that without the bar!  Read one of our success stories here!

Marge began weight training at age 80 and always feels better after her exercise session! She was one of the very first clients to try out our gym when we opened in February 2006!
